New Album
"In the Light" was a powerful exploration of my walk with God. I compared my journey to Him as a reverse cycle of grief. I've experienced a depth of pain that should have broken me for good. But, I found a way to forge through the fire of acceptance, depression, bargaining, anger, and denial. I attempted to overcome the battle with my fears and hurt by bargaining with God to release me from it all, and I used anger as an expression to feel. Until one day, I decided that my fear was quicksand and that in order to feel God, and for Him to trust me to share my relationship with Him through my music, I had to trust Him back and allow Him to bend me to His will. I had longed for this day. When I did, He wrote "In the Light" through me. He says, "Follow Me, I am Free.

New Album
This Album, "Soul," started as a conversation with God. Even in my walk I was still faced with the same complexities of my soul, hardship, adversity, doubts, joy, hope, and my surrender. The beauty of faith is that you are still "you"; you've just let go of how the world has attached itself to you. You are slowly pulled, cleansed, refined until you are seeing the world differently now that you are no longer of it. But yet, you still hurt. I tell my little girl when we fall with God we have a landing pad and we are a lot closer to the ground so it doesn't hurt as much. That we have the Holy Spirit inside of us helping us make better decisions so we don't have to feel that fall as often. But we have to listen. God taught me this as His child. Soul is part of this exploration but honest in its delivery that God is with me and for me through all the shades of my life. With Him I am "Shades of Yellow."
